{friday faves} teacups

Happy Friday Friends!
I bet you are just as sleep deprived as I am after watching the royal wedding. Its funny how last week I couldn't care less about it but in the last few days I managed to get sucked in.  Kate looked absolutely stunning in her Alexander McQueen gown and her Prince looked equally handsome.
In keeping with the British theme, today's faves are all about teacups. These little pretties can be used throughout your wedding from charming guest favors to jewelry.

{#146} the princess diaries

{colors} coral, peach, gold
{description} For this week's board I was inspired by the upcoming Royal wedding. It seems that everyone and their mother is excited about tomorrow's nuptials.  I'll confess that I'm not aware of every single detail of the wedding but I did catch a few updates here and there from what guests were invited {hello Mr. Beckham} to what time Prince William will kiss Kate {1:25 London time if you care}.  I know that there are traditions that need to be followed but I'm hoping for some modern and playful touches too {why not the Clarence House is on twitter}! Wouldn't you love to see Kate wearing a gorgeous elaborate feather hair fascinator or do you think she should wear a royal crown?

{real wedding} kathlyn and dan

Kathlyn and Dan are both quite outdoorsy. They travelled the world together {literally} and have slept under the stars of many countries together. They both love the ocean and surfing. They're extremely romantic and very much in love. They pictured their wedding as a no-fuss elopement and only invited their closest loved ones.

Most of the wedding was put together by their friends and family. The wedding was really small—about 25 people. It was just their closest friends and family. Their friends played music for the wedding and everyone sang along at one point. The place-cards were made using sand dollars collected at Ocean Beach by Kathlyn and Dan's apartment in San Francisco. They had a wish-tree instead of a guestbook. Guests would write their wishes for the new couple and hang their wishes on the tree.

For the seating cards, Kathlyn and Dan collected sand dollars at the beach near their home in San Francisco.

{real wedding} amy + cody

How was your weekend friends? I thought I would share with you a sweet wedding sent to me by Anna Briggs. The couple Amy + Cody exchanged vows back in February at the Willowdale Estate in Massachusetts.  I’ll let Anna share her experience with this lovely wedding Amy and Cody are just unbelievably in love with each other and life.  It was so much fun to just be that "fly on the wall" and watch them be in love. Amy and her mom decorated themselves and they had this outrageous candy bar along the table were all sorts of goodies and personalized bags from the bride and groom to put their candy in.  They also had a pie station and a pastry station that looked so delish.  Everywhere you walked through the house there was something delicious waiting to be eaten.”

{friday faves} eggcup centerpieces

Ahh Friday we meet again...thank goodness!! Am I the only one who thought this week would never end?
I want to leave you with a sweet idea that can be used for your wedding or Easter weekend. I love using adorable eggcups {new or vintage} as petite centerpieces. You can use them in a groups, stacked on various cake stands or even use them in each setting as a place card.  Which ever way these little pretties will add color and texture to your table.
